Lifesavers Conference, Inc. (annually since 1993)
This annual meeting has been held in Chicago, San Diego, Orlando, Seattle, Denver, Atlanta, Portland, and other major cities across the country since MMI began coordinating it in 1993. Managing this meeting covers all aspects of conference planning, including site selection, budget management, contract negotiations, marketing, registration, on-site supervision, organizing more than 240 speakers, 85+ workshops, 150+ exhibits, and management of off-site events (2,500+ registrants). www.lifesaversconference.org.
Second Distracted Driving Summit (September 2010 - Washington, DC)
Coordinate with the Research and Innovative Technology Administration and the U.S. Department of Transportation for Secretary Ray LaHood’s Second Summit on Distracted Driving. Over 500 individual invitation letters prepared and processed, coordination with DOT staff on aspects of the Summit, including review of food/beverage, press, on-site registration, obtaining professional note-taker and summary preparation.

Advocates for Highway and Auto Safety, 20th Anniversary Celebration – Honoring Highway Safety Leaders (May 2010)
Handling invitations and RSVPs, search and order appropriate awards, on-site welcome table and registration, coordinate with Capitol Visitors Center, U.S. Capitol, Washington, DC security and personnel staff. Over 30 U.S. Senate and U.S. House of Representatives in attendance.
The Pennsylvania Teen Driver Safety Education Alliance Workshop (April 2010 - Philadelphia Convention Center, Philadelphia, PA)
Marketing and registration for 45 participants. Coordinate food/beverage and set-up, and on-site registration and organization.
International Association of Chiefs of Police, Technology Technical Assistance Program, Technology Desk Reference Review Workshop (July 2009 - Indianapolis, IN)
Prepare hotel contracts, coordinate with IACP travel agent, coordinate mailing of invitations letters, communicate with IACP personnel, and provide on-site support and supervision.
International Association of Chiefs of Police, National Policy Summit, Building Safer Communities: Improving Police Response to Persons with Mental Illness (May 2009 - Alexandria, VA)
Prepare hotel contracts, coordinate with IACP travel agent, coordinate mailing of invitations letters, communicate with IACP personnel, and provide on-site support and supervision.
Child Passenger Safety Training, Certified Instructors, Special Needs, and Child Passenger School Bus Curriculum Courses (Since 2005)
These various courses are held as pre-meetings to the Lifesavers Conference. Drawing on a particular segment of attendees involved in child passenger safety, these courses enable those in need of certification updates to combine their efforts in one location. MMI provides registration services, arranges for audio/visual needs, and menu planning for approximately 150 to 300 attendees.
Safe Kids Worldwide Leadership Conference (October 2004-2008)
Safe Kids Worldwide focuses on child injury prevention and offers hands-on learning opportunities and programmatic sessions. This annual meeting is held in Washington, DC. MMI provides registration services, hotel reservations and negotiations, exhibit coordination, menu planning, and acts as liaison between client and hotel (500 attendees). www.safekids.org.
NHTSA/MADD Non-Checkpoint State Summit (June 2008 - Arlington, TX)
MMI worked closely with NHTSA and MADD in compiling the invitation list, sent out meeting invitations and confirmations, and helped organize travel arrangements. We arranged for audio/visual needs, menu planning as well as providing on-site registration and meeting oversight services.
Enhancing Public Safety Through Video Technology - An IACP Technology and Policy Symposium (February 2008 - San Diego, CA)
MMI provided registration and confirmation services, menu planning, arranged for audio/visual needs as well as ordering meeting materials. We also provided on-site registration and meeting oversight services.
Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD) Regional LEL Summit (6 Regional Meetings 2005 - 2006)
This series of meetings were held in Dallas, TX, Reno, NV, Denver, CO, Hartford, CT, Washington, DC, and Atlanta, GA. MMI services included hotel selection, contract negotiations, menu selection and registration services for approximately 80 attendees at each two-day meeting.
IACP National Leadership Summit (April 2005)
Registration services, hotel reservations and coordination, and menu planning was provided for 80 attendees. MMI worked closely with IACP on the invitation-only, two-day summit sponsored by the International Association of Chiefs of Police.
NHTSA SES/LEL Meeting (March 2005)
MMI provided registration services, hotel site selection, contract negotiation, and menu planning for this two-day meeting (160 attendees).
GHSA Annual Meeting (yearly, 1999-2005)
The Governors Highway Safety Association holds an annual meeting at different locations across the country that brings together Governor's Highway Safety Representatives throughout the country. MMI provided registration services for the 400 attendees and exhibitors.
